The instrument your child chooses to practice at home with is crucial.

It must meet the following criteria:

• Uses the correct pattern of black and white keys (shown in all examples below)
• Both black AND white keys need to play / function (no fake keys)
• Works / plays a piano sound / has a piano setting
• Is accessible to your child (adult music equipment will look intimidating and off limits)
